The short answer

Five stations change load by division: sled push, sled pull, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls. Men's Open uses 152 kg on the sled push, Women's Open 102 kg, Men's Pro 202 kg and Women's Pro 152 kg. SkiErg, row and burpee broad jumps are the same for everyone.

Weights by division

Sled weights include the sled. The SkiErg (1,000 m), row (1,000 m) and burpee broad jumps (80 m) are the same in every division.

Sandbag Lunges (100 m)10 kg20 kg20 kg30 kg
Wall Ball4 kg to 2.7 m6 kg to 3 m6 kg to 2.7 m9 kg to 3 m

Notice the pattern: Women’s Pro uses the same loads as Men’s Open on every station except the wall-ball target height.

Wall-ball reps: the standard is 100 reps. Some sources report a lower rep count for Women’s Open in recent seasons, so check the official rulebook for your race.

Doubles and Relay

  • Doubles (men, women, mixed): you run all 8 km together and split the station work any way you like. Weights match the solo division. Mixed Doubles use Men’s Open weights.
  • Relay: four athletes each run 2 x 1 km and complete 2 stations.

Which division should you pick?

Pick Open for your first race. Pick Doubles if you want a social first race with half the station work. Move to Pro only once you can push and pull the Pro sleds without stopping in training.

Rules and weights can change between seasons. Always confirm in the official rulebook at hyrox.com before race day.

Quick answers

Do the sled weights include the sled?

Yes. The listed sled push and sled pull weights include the sled itself.

Are Doubles weights lighter?

No. Doubles use the same weights as the solo division. Mixed Doubles use Men's Open weights.

Should I start in Open or Pro?

Start in Open. Pro is for experienced racers who can handle much heavier sleds and carries.
